Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about mobile mechanic service in Tallahassee, FL.

A mobile mechanic is a certified automotive technician who travels to you with a fully equipped service van. Instead of requiring you to bring your car to a shop, we come to your home, office, apartment complex, or wherever your vehicle is located and perform most repairs on-site. This eliminates towing costs, waiting rooms, and the hassle of arranging transportation.

In most cases, we can reach you within 1–2 hours in the Tallahassee metro area. Same-day appointments are available Monday through Saturday, 7 AM–7 PM. For outlying areas like Crawfordville or Quincy, response times may be 1.5–2.5 hours.

Our diagnostic fee is $79. This covers a full OBD-II scan, visual inspection, and written estimate. If you book the repair with us after the diagnostic, the $79 fee is completely waived — making diagnosis effectively free when combined with service.

Our rates are comparable to local independent shops and often less than dealerships. When you factor in towing costs ($75–$150+), ride-share costs, and the time value of sitting in a waiting room, mobile service frequently costs less overall. We provide written estimates before any work and never surprise you with charges you did not approve.

Yes, in most cases. We work in parking lots, driveways, and apartment complexes as long as there is enough level ground space to safely work. Brake jobs require jack stands and level ground — we will confirm suitability for your specific location before arriving.

We serve all of Tallahassee and Leon County plus Midway, Crawfordville, Quincy, Havana, Monticello, and Woodville. If you are not sure whether we cover your area, just call — we will confirm and do our best to accommodate you.

We service most domestic and foreign passenger vehicles including cars, trucks, SUVs, and minivans. We work on Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Dodge, Jeep, Subaru, Mazda, and many others. We do not currently service heavy trucks, diesel engines, or exotic vehicles. Call to confirm your specific vehicle.

Yes. We stand behind every repair. If an issue recurs due to our workmanship, we will make it right at no additional charge. We use quality OEM-equivalent parts and guarantee our labor. Ask about the specific warranty for your service when you book.

We accept cash, all major credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle. Payment is due when the job is completed. We never require upfront payment before service.

Transmission rebuilds, engine rebuilds, major frame work, and repairs requiring extended lift access cannot be done mobile. We will always tell you honestly if a job requires a shop, and we will refer you to a trusted local facility rather than attempting work we cannot do properly in the field.
